What‘s it cost?

Monthly Membership Dues

Monadnock Aikikai is supported by the dues you pay. Classes are taught by Black Belt instructors who volunteer their time. The monthly fee covers attendance for any or all classes. We hold class five days per week, excepting some holidays.

Regular Dues:
2 Free Classes to get started.
Adult dues: $60-$90 per month Sliding Scale
Students:
$50/month
Kids: $30/month
Family: $90-$120/month for a couple (Sliding scale) + $10 for each addition family member

If you have difficulty paying the fees, talk to us. We want you to be able to train and we will work something out with you.

There is a USAF yearly membership fee of $45 that becomes due after your 5th Kyu test and in April of each year thereafter. You are also asked to pay a $35 certification fee to the USAF whenever you test....usually once yearly. Advanced Black Belt testing is more expensive and depends upon the test. The fees go to our parent organization, the USAF.

Other Expenses: Once you decide that you are going to stick with Aikido, you will want to own a gi or two. A gi is a practice uniform and the ones we stock run about $70-$90 each. We may also have a "loaner" gi that you can use at no charge, until you are able to buy one. It is also easy to find and order a gi online.

Payment for each month is due on or before the 1st day of each month.

Visitors from other dojos are always welcome. Mat fee is $10.
